Description

The Bauhaus — the German design school that operated from 1919 to 1933 — changed the language of modern objects permanently. Its central conviction was radical in its simplicity: that a room's fixtures should read as structure, not furniture. Monument Halo takes that furthest of anything in the line: a tension rod running from floor to ceiling, disappearing into the room's own architecture, with a single sphere held in place by a ring at exactly the height you choose.

A frosted opal globe is cradled mid-column by a chrome or brushed-gold yoke that splits and rejoins around it — Monument Halo distills a floor lamp into one sculptural gesture spanning floor to ceiling. The tension rod runs the full height of the room and recedes into it; the yoke draws an oval ring around the globe, leaving the sphere to read as the only mass in the space.

Available in chrome or brushed gold: chrome reads cool and architectural, brushed gold reads warm and burnished. Both finishes carry through the rod, the disc plates at floor and ceiling, and the yoke that cradles the globe, so the metalwork picks up the light around it and quietly disappears into the room's palette.

Who it's for: Rooms with the ceiling height to make a floor-to-ceiling gesture — lofts, high-ceilinged living rooms, stairwells and landings, or any space where you want a sculptural light source with no floor footprint at all. For anyone who's looked at a normal floor lamp's base and thought: this could just disappear.

Frequently Asked Questions

How tall is the lamp, and what ceiling height does it need? Adjustable 240–270 cm (94½"–106¼") to fit your ceiling — measure your ceiling height before ordering to confirm it falls in this range. Globe: 45 cm diameter (17¾"). Weight: 18 lb.

How does it install? Floor-to-ceiling tension fit — the rod extends and locks between floor and ceiling, so there's no base taking up floor space and no drilling required.

Does it require a separate bulb? Yes — Monument Halo uses a replaceable standard E27 bulb, housed inside the frosted acrylic globe.

What finishes are available? Chrome or brushed gold, carried through the rod, the floor and ceiling disc plates, and the yoke that cradles the globe.

What's the power setup? 120V US standard.

What interior styles does this lamp suit? Bauhaus, mid-century modern, Nordic minimalist, loft industrial, dark academia, and quiet luxe interiors — a floor-to-ceiling gesture for rooms built around architecture rather than furniture.
